Government representatives. Municipal decision-makers. Global technology companies. Industry leaders. Long-standing partners. New connections. One booth brought them all together in Berlin. For DTSis, InnoTrans 2026 was not simply an exhibition. It was a meeting point for the people, ideas and technologies shaping the future of public transportation.
From 22 to 25 September, our booth in Hall 2.1, Stand 645 became a place where different perspectives from across the transportation ecosystem came together. Over four days, we welcomed distinguished visitors from public institutions and municipalities, international technology companies, transport operators, business partners and professionals from across the global mobility industry.
Among our visitors were representatives from Turkish public authorities and municipalities, including Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, as well as prominent figures and professionals from the international transportation and technology ecosystem.
What made these visits particularly valuable was not simply who came through our doors — but what we talked about once they arrived.
Beyond the Validator
At InnoTrans 2026, we wanted to demonstrate a simple idea:
“The future of public transportation is not built around a single device. It is built around connected intelligence.”
Our exhibition concept brought together different elements of the DTSis ecosystem — from smart validators and contactless payment technologies to AI-capable onboard computers, passenger counting systems, video solutions and connected passenger information technologies.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore solutions such as our VAL70 and VAL35 validators, AI-enabled technologies, onboard systems and passenger counting solutions, while seeing how these technologies can work together as part of a broader public transport ecosystem.
Our approach is rooted in a belief that technology should not exist in isolation.
-
A validator is more than a payment device.
-
An onboard computer is more than a processing unit.
-
A passenger counting system is more than a source of data.
When these technologies communicate and work together, they become part of a smarter operational environment — one capable of supporting better decision-making, more efficient operations and a more connected passenger experience.
Four Days of Meaningful Conversations
InnoTrans gave us the opportunity to meet people from different markets, cultures and areas of expertise — but many of the conversations ultimately focused on the same challenges.
-
How can public transport become more connected?
-
How can operators make better use of real-time data?
-
How can payment technologies become simpler for passengers?
-
How can AI contribute to safer and more efficient operations?
